Welcome to Yates Baptist Child Development Center. We are a high quality faith-based child care. We offer a loving, nurturing, child-centered and family friendly atmosphere that's been in operation for over 50 years! We are a NC licensed 5 Star, NAEYC accredited child care and the first center to achieve Eco Healthy certification in Durham. Our mission is to "teach through play" developing the whole child in all areas; physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually and spiritually. Children learn best through hands-on experiences, purposeful play and social interactions that are provided at Yates Baptist CDC. Your child will have many opportunities each day to participate in these learning techniques, helping them discover problem solving skills, "natural consequences", and group as well as individual play. A Word of Welcome from Yates Baptist Church
On behalf of the congregation, I want you to know how glad we are you've paid a virtual visit to the Yates CDC. It is a very special place for a child to be! After fifty years of continuous operation, we at Yates are prouder than ever of the CDC and the well-credentialed, well-respected resource it has become in Durham. The most amazing thing of all is how the CDC has never lost its personal touch.
As a parent, I know that every child in the CDC represents a family's deepest trust. We at Yates are committed to honoring that trust by maintaining a welcoming, safe place of blessing for all children. Our hope is that they (and their families) are nurtured and strengthened by the collaboration of families, CDC and the church.
